U5b* (mtDNA) - Female Norman DNA
Hello,
I just found your website, Some researchers have wondered if Crago/Cragoe/Crugowe family of Cornwall might be descended from an Anglo-Norman family. Specically, Crevecoeur has been mentioned, I have found possible related familial branches in Cornwall, such as FitzRobert, Hamon, and FitzHamon. During 15th century, Thomas Crugowe/Cragowe worked as bailiff and attorney for the Arundells of Lanherne. Thomas and his wife, Alicia Rouse, daughter and heir of John Rouse lived in ville of St. Columb and held property there and also nearby.
My yHaplogroup is R-U198. The first 12 markers results are the following: 13-23-14-10-11-14-12-12-12-14-13-30; I would appreciate knowing what you think Crugowes being Norman. Steade Craigo
